What are exemption requests?
A vendor may request an exemption request for requirements that they believe don’t apply to them. As an enterprise leader, you may accept or decline an exemption request.
Accepting an exemption request
Upon accepting an exemption request, the vendor will be notified that their exemption request was accepted and they won’t have to meet the specific requirement.
Declining an exemption request
Upon declining an exemption request, the vendor will be notified that their exemption request was decline and they must meet that specific requirement.
Taking action on exemption requests
Only enterprise leaders can review exemption requests and can be accessed from the ‘My Vendors’ list in the Enterprise Workspace.
If a vendor has requested an exemption, you will see a banner above your list of vendors. Clicking ‘View vendors’ will take you to the ‘Pending’ tab.
Vendors that have requested exemptions will appear on the ‘Pending’ tab. With a notification next to the vendor.
Clicking ‘Review Exemptions’ will take you to the exemption review process where you can review the exemptions for a specific vendor.
During the exemption review process, you’ll see the requirements that a vendor has requested.
Under reach requirement, you will see the reason the vendor is requesting the exemption. You can accept or decline the exemption from this view as well.
Once you’ve reviewed all exemptions and taken action on them, you’ll be prompted to confirm the exemptions.
Clicking ‘Confirm exemptions’ will submit your decision and inform the vendors.
Vendors will receive an email notifying them of your decision.
How do full exemptions work?
Full exemptions means that the vendor won’t have to meet your organization’s compliance requirements and they will be exempt from paying for VendorPM Compliance.
