While there is no “one size fits all” solution, you can maximize your potential for success on VendorPM in several ways.
Plan Type
The type of subscription you have significantly affects the number of opportunities you receive on VendorPM.
Free Plan:
You will only receive quote requests if a property manager from an enterprise in your current network searches for your business name while creating a quote request and invites you to the project. To see which property management companies you can currently work with, log into VendorPM, click “My Clients,” and then “Other Clients.”
Verified Plan:
This plan increases the number of opportunities you receive. While growth isn’t the sole focus, it allows you to submit and display compliance documentation, making your profile more appealing to potential clients. You can accept and submit quotes for property managers within and outside your network, communicate directly with them, and bid on projects.
Growth Plan:
If you aim to expand your portfolio and increase quote requests, this plan is ideal. You gain access to all features on VendorPM (excluding compliance-related ones), can quote on any project you’re invited or have access to, receive notifications about open bids, and network with property managers in your service area. Additionally, you will have a designated Customer Success Representative to assist you.
There are four Growth Plan tiers, so you can select which one best suits your company’s needs. Within your tier’s service radius, you receive enhanced visibility, increasing the chances that property managers will find your profile. If you’re interested in upgrading your plan, you can do so by contacting us via email or VendorPM’s chat function.
Best Practices
Once you’ve selected the right subscription, consider these strategies to boost traffic:
High-Quality Profile:
Ensure your profile includes a logo, company description, verified email, and, most importantly, ratings and reviews. These elements are essential to appeal to property managers during their vendor selection process.
Offer to Quote Messages:
A valuable feature of the Growth Plan is the ability to send “Offer to Quote” messages to property managers in your service radius who have consented to be contacted. Access this feature through the “Opportunities” page, and apply filters to simplify your search. You can message any eligible property by clicking “Contact PM” and typing a brief networking message. There’s no limit on the number of Offer to Quote messages you can send within your service area
Communication:
Property managers prioritize consistent, responsive, and professional communication. They want to feel confident that you produce quality work and are a reliable vendor. Ensure you respond promptly, use full sentences, and maintain professionalism in all interactions to make the best impression.
This includes submitting a quote when you have indicated that you will be doing so on the platform. Always try your best to submit a quote if you have accepted the job on the platform, or decline the request if you cannot. Avoid letting quote requests expire without a response.
Preferred Contact Method:
Each quote request will show at least two contact methods for the property manager, with a “Preferred” badge indicating their preferred method. Start with this preferred method to enhance your chances of receiving a response. If you don’t hear back, feel free to use the other provided contact methods.
Reading Quote Request Instructions:
Property managers often include important details such as site visit instructions and additional contacts in their requests. Carefully read these instructions to avoid making a negative impression. Ignoring them can lead to miscommunication and added complexity to your work.
By following these strategies, you can effectively drive more traffic to your VendorPM profile and increase your opportunities.
